Easter 2016.

March 28, 2016

Easter weekend was crazy busy but it was wonderful! I loved seeing so many family members and celebrating our Risen Savior. It is the best holiday!! It was also fun to start a new tradition this year at my aunt's house. She hosted an Easter Egg Hunt Brunch on Saturday morning for the whole family. It was great to start the weekend off with some delicious food, hot coffee and sweet babies!

& then my camera died.... :(
after the fun morning with my Mom's family, we went to Travelers Rest to have lunch with my Dad's side. Yummy Spaghetti for lunch was such a good idea. We ate well all weekend!

cute little bunny with his first basket!
He loved pulling everything out and playing with the crinkle paper.

Preparing the lamb every Easter is my favorite project. I called dibs on the holiday when we got married and there was a chance I'd have to give it up this year, but it all worked out and I'm so happy we were able to host the Sunday lunch for our family!

So excited to be the King of the table!

Hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend!!!
I'm so excited about the leftovers.... YUM!

Easter 2015.

April 7, 2015

It's definitely not the first time I've said it, and most definitely not the last time I'll say it, but... Easter is my favorite holiday. I just love a whole weekend that celebrates what our Savior did for us. How He showed His power and His promise to His people and defeated sin and death. I love to celebrate what He did for us and spend time with family around the table eating delicious food and being thankful for Jesus.

I'm pretty bummed we didn't get a big family photo but I know next year will be a completely
different story since we will have our own little bunny with us!

Hope you all had a beautiful Easter weekend!!

Epiphanys Corner // a giveaway {CLOSED}

November 21, 2014

I am so in love with this piece of artwork for Christmas! When I saw it on etsy for the first time I knew I wanted to offer it as a giveaway. I love clean and simple pieces that make a point. Oh, come let us adore Him is one of my favorites songs during Christmas so it only made sense to have this in our home. I'm not quite sure where I will use it since I have a strict, no decorations before Thanksgiving rule, but this spot is a nice option. Krystal from Epiphany's Corner was such a dream to work with and I love all of her designs. I will definitely buy something else soon!!

So, here are the fun details! Make sure you enter the giveaway below, there are a lot of options so you can collect as many points as possible. I will directly contact the winner a week from today, and they will also be announced below. Good luck!!!

cake and dancing is always a good idea.

November 5, 2014

My mom went by strict instructions to freeze our wedding cake topper and it safely sat in our freezer until our one year anniversary photo session. I wanted to have some pictures taken of us eating our cake together and toasting to our first year of marriage. It has been such a great year and I think it is important to celebrate that. Celebrating all of the moments that have filled our year one. I'm already loving year two, and I'm so excited to see where we are a year from now. Now, on to the cake!

high fives and kisses for a great first year as Mr. & Mrs.

Then we went out on the back porch for a little dancing....
this guy.... love him so much!

I loved getting dressed up for some cake and wearing some of our wedding pieces again! Peter's tie & cuff links, my wedding shoes & jewelry... all of it makes me giddy. That man though, he makes me the giddiest!

Also, hop over to Sage the Blog to read my guest post about the Three Marriage Dont's
that Peter and I have learned over the past year as husband and wife!

Easter 2014.

April 21, 2014

My favorite holiday most definitely Easter! I love that the reason for this holiday is solely on Jesus and what He did to save us all. From the moment we got married I called dibs on this day. I told everyone that we would be spending Easter at our house and we would make lunch. I wanted to celebrate Jesus and serve others with my husband in our home.

Peter and his family typically have lamb for Easter and I gladly adopted that tradition. We were in charge of the meat and asparagus, my mom brought her delicious horseradish mashed potatoes and carrots, then Peter's mom brought my favorite Arabic meal, Kibbeh Labanieh and her amazing rice pudding. We were so stuffed and happy. Exactly the way you should be on a holiday!

I was also super excited to use all of my china for the first time. It was such a special day and I'm so happy we could spend the afternoon together and celebrate a risen Messiah. I hope you all had a wonderful Easter surrounded by people you love.

ps. Tomorrow is the first day that Cassie and I will be hosting our In The Word Tuesday link-up!
Tomorrow, I will be talking more about what I've been reading and studying lately in His Word during this special time of year. Come back and share your heart with us. No rules, restrictions, or prompts; we just want to hear what Christ has put in your heart! We are excited about this project and hope that it will give us all an opportunity to connect. So, grab the button below and connect!
