baby is a......

November 1, 2019

I can't believe I'm actually typing this!!! We are having a baby girl! It's so surreal and I don't even feel like it's true yet. I honestly, probably won't believe it, until we have her in our arms. I even keep thinking that the ultrasound tech was wrong somehow and we might end up with a surprise boy, hahaha!! But, I am so excited and happy to celebrate our new little baby and be able to call her by her name. Baby Olive. The little Olive that we have been waiting for.

When we were pregnant with little Solomon, we knew we would either have a Solomon or an Olive, so we have patiently been waiting to be able to call a baby girl by that name. Never truly knowing we would be given that chance, and honestly perfectly happy with the idea of a house full of boys, but now our lives have been changed forever. Solomon said it perfectly on the ride home after lunch today.... he said, "awww, sweet baby Olive, I'm so excited!" We are all thrilled, and we can't wait to meet our baby girl!

These photos are at the ultrasound place today, after the tech put the answer in an envelope for us to open as a family together. This is our third time with that little tradition and I love it. I had a gut feeling and I was finally brave enough to admit I felt deep down we were having a baby girl. I also had crazy real dreams last night that we found out it was a girl. I know part of me didn't want to admit my gut feeling because I didn't want to be let down if we didn't have a girl, but now that seems silly. Boy or girl, I know that God has a plan and He knew exactly what we needed!!! The boys painted a fake white pumpkin this afternoon so baby Olive will have a little reminder of the day we found out!

We are so excited and on cloud nine!!!

Christmas, 2018

December 28, 2018

This year's Christmas was so full of so many fun moments and I don't even know where to start. All year long I was anticipating our first Christmas with two babies, both at such fun ages, and it was the best. Solomon fully grasped all the fun Christmas magic and also understood the real reason for the season, sweet baby Jesus. Then Asher didn't care one bit about gifts (also a SUPER sweet spot to be in!) but loved every single part of it. Well, most of it, just not a big fan of Santa. The whole month of December was pretty awesome, and I'm excited to share bits and pieces of our Christmas that I truly loved!!

Just like last year, we started Christmas festivities with my mom on the night before Christmas Eve. It's so fun to have a quiet night with her full of delicious food (and that pie up there!!!) and sharing gifts with each other.

She lost her GIGI necklace while we were in FL on vacation, so she requested a replacement for her gift. I was excited to find one that I loved even more!

And my cleaning gloves that I requested also! haha

More cleaning tools... I'm such a mom now. HA!

I shared last year about how we keep CHRIST in Christmas and I was excited to keep up a lot of those traditions. Especially the birthday cake for baby Jesus! It's a fun Christmas Eve activity with Solomon, and I'm sure Asher will enjoy it with us next year.

That sweet face!!!

Eating the cream cheese icing off the whisk!

Christmas Eve is always at my Grandma's house and it continues to get bigger each year. We added two little boys to the crew this year, which was a lot of fun!! Santa comes, we get our yearly photos and then we let the kids open all their gifts. It's such a fun night, one of my favorite traditions ever since I was a kid myself.

matching outfits, not even planned!!

Pure excitement and love with these two around!!!! I love this photo so much!

And of course Christmas morning is a whole lot of fun with our two boys. Solomon was equal parts confused and excited about the whole thing, but his big Iron Man was a huge hit! We had our annual Christmas morning breakfast and then we ended with Baby Jesus' birthday cake!! Sweet, sweet memories!

Sweet boy is always blowing kisses now! Can't believe he is almost ONE!

Asher's first taste of bacon.... obviously a hit.

Baby Jesus, and Batman, of course!!
It was a GOOOOOD Christmas, and I'm so thankful for all the memories we made.

pizza party.

July 16, 2018

Peter got a new Ceramic Grill for Father's Day and we wanted to start having pizza party nights as soon as we got it home! Since we had family in town we thought it would be a great time to do it. I went to the Trader Joes to get all the ingredients and it was honestly much easier than we expected. Everyone got to make their own pies and Peter figured out the perfect timing to get the crunchy crust and bubbly cheese! It was a lot of fun, and the kids loved it!!! I'm voting for Pizza Party Friday Nite, every week!

my very yummy pizza with a thick and crunchy crust!

This sweet boy, looks so much like his uncle Peter, and I absolutely love it!

some yummy peas for this boy!!

So yummy and so fun!!! I'm reeeeaaaally looking forward to the fall weather when we can make the pizzas and then enjoy them out on the deck.
