Solomon, Buzz and a lot of friends.

September 17, 2019

It's really surreal to think about how much this boy has changed in the last year, and as much as I welcome his 4th year of life, it's still so hard to see it come so quickly. This precious little soul is so excited to be four. He's been talking about it for months, and he hasn't stopped talking about it since Saturday. It really is such a privilege to get to mother this sweet boy. I can't wait to see all the things he will do with his life, but for now, he's still my little guy, and he'll always be my baby! He was so excited to celebrate with family and friends with a Buzz Lightyear party. It was the easiest, stress free party we have thrown, and I loved it.

Big smiles, and ready for cake!!!!

love this picture that Peter's brother took!

So much love on our couch, and this was after two sweet families left!
I hate that we missed the five kids that left early, but I honestly don't know if they would have fit?!?

We love you SO SO much, Solomon & we can't wait to see what your 4th year will hold!

puppy dog pals & a three year old.

Solomon has been obsessed with Puppy Dog Pals for a while now, but he kind of shocked us all when he changed his mind from a Star Wars party. He of course asked for a Toy Story party for the last month, but I had already started planning and bought several things for a Puppy Dog Pal theme, so we went with it. He still got a lot of Star Wars and Toy Story gifts, so it really was a win/win. And we all got to eat delicious hot dogs, so that was fun, too!

As usual, this party wouldn't have happened without my mom and her help! She really is so good at this thing, and she loves it, so it's fun to finalize all the details with her. She helped with all the menu design and printing and of course came early to help set everything up. It was also a was a huge help to reuse the banners from last year's party! The colors were perfect and they were so cute, I wanted to use them again. I think this might have been my favorite party so far, it was so easy and fun!

Solomon also requested a strawberry cake with strawberry ice cream.
It was a big hit, all the kids (and adults) loved it!!

Oh, and baby brother slept during the ENTIRE party. He fell asleep before we started to eat and he woke up right as we finished opening the last gift. It was so funny to me. I was a little bummed that he wasn't in any of the photos, but it was really nice to be able to focus and love on Solomon during his party.

We are so thankful for all the family and friends that came to celebrate with us!!

our first baby girl.

I can't believe it finally happened!!! The first Eliya in our family to produce a girl. It only took eight tries. As most of you know, we have a lot of boys in the family. Asher will be number seven, all five and younger. So when Joy found out she was pregnant with a girl, we were all SHOCKED. I mean, I called it, but I was shocked that I was actually right! My mom and I loved showing our love language with a little party to celebrate the first baby girl and Joy! We can't wait to meet her!!!

All the floral touches were so pretty and fun to put together. My favorite part was the floral hoop wreath that I made for baby girl's bedroom door. They aren't sure about her name yet, so I told Joy I could add an initial to it once she's here and has a name. The cake was also beautiful and so delicious. My cousin with Sweet By & By Cakery did an amazing job like always. I sent her a picture of the invite and the hoop wreath for inspiration, she's so talented!

sweet babies!!! I can't wait to spend 2018 loving on these three!

A sunday afternoon shower is the perfect time for some coffee and desserts! My mom and I made sure to have all of Joy's favorite things, including homemade chocolate pecan pie!

The felt flower garland that we made with my Cricut was so fun.

Bows and girly colors, oh my!!
We love you, Joy, and we can't wait to love on your baby girl!!!
