weekly three.

Happy Friday!!! It has been another fun week in GA, but this time in Duluth, visiting family! Peter is still in Augusta but working the night shift, so that wouldn't be much fun for us to travel with him. Today is also my nephew's 4th birthday!!! I can't believe it... he is such a big, sweet boy, and I'm happy we were able to come and spend some time with him. This weekend is his party & we are excited to celebrate with him, hope you all have a fun weekend!!

Dessert is always a big deal when my sister in law have work to do after the kids are in bed!

The beautiful leaves turning, makes my heart flutter....

A restaurant in downtown Duluth that has a babysitter and a kid's room while you eat.... too bad the food wasn't that great ;)

pumpkins and our pumpkin.

Over the weekend were able to squeeze in a pumpkin patch before the end of the season! I hate that the pumpkin patches normally end right before Halloween, because I love them all the way to Thanksgiving. It was our first time with Solomon, since he was so tiny last year, and it definitely won't be our last!! He loved it! I also fell in love with Mini Miracles Farm since they are a sweet Christian based farm & organic as well. I wouldn't mind signing up for a CSA with them, all the yummy goodies they grow and the organic meets would be awesome. But, back to that cute pumpkin of ours!!

that little crinkled nose grin he does sometimes when we ask him to smile.... my heart!

Such a fun day, and the hay ride was a big highlight!! He loved it :)

Solomon // thirteen months.

first of all.... this post is WAY late since I lost my card reader for my camera, so this pictures were just waiting on the card with no luck of a transfer. I finally bit the bullet and bought a new one so I could finally convert them!

I thought it would be fun to share some monthly photos still but just share some of my favorite things from the previous month instead of the long letters.... I'll save those for more important posts!

  • Saying dog and hello! He picks up any toy and puts it to his ear and says hello sometimes.
  • Bouncing and dancing all the time!! Especially loves bouncing on our tummy or back if we are lying down on the floor.
  • Wakes up so happy and talking nonstop and even cuddles with me a little bit before we get out of bed.
  • Plays with his hair while going to sleep now & also sleeping for daddy and Gigi much easier.
  • Showing quite a temper, especially when he is trying to do something and can't figure it out. Putting the top of the lego box on is the worst, he tries to put the top on for maybe two seconds before he freaks out and screams. So dramatic!
  • Anytime there is football on the TV he instantly raises his arms with a Touchdown sign and smiles so big!
  • Still nursing all the time and he now points at my chest saying "my" which I'm guessing is his word for milk. It's adorable!!

obsessed with his DOG (in his right hand) and points out all dogs or any animal since everything is a dog to him. Listening to him exclaim doooog is so adorable.
watching him play with his toys like a little toddler now is so cute as well...

Just like daddy, he loves his peanut butter and honey sandwiches!
favorite time of day, when daddy comes home!!!

weekly three.

This week has been a weird one. I woke up thinking it was Thursday, even though we're leaving Augusta today, and I knew we were leaving on a Friday. Mommy brain!! Anyways, since I haven't missed a weekly three post all year, I thought I'd go ahead and post it this afternoon since I've never missed a Friday this whole year! Hope you have a good weekend, we have a busy fun one ahead for us!!

Boots and leaves and walks with Bella!

The way Solomon reaches for me and gets excited when he sees me out in the sling now!

Finding a park for some fun before the ride home! Hoping for another good sleepy ride....

Augusta again.

We are heading back home today after a few days in Augusta with Peter. I was second guessing the whole "traveling with daddy" thing after experiencing the first night of traveling with a toddler. It is crazy how our baby is gone... I mean, he's still our baby in so many ways, (and he will always be my baby, of course!) but he is such a little toddler now. I was super happy that he slept the entire two hour drive here, but once we made it, he was a ball of energy that could not be tamed. That made going out to dinner with friends (at a restaurant that didn't have a highchair!!!) super hard and stressful. BUT, we all got a good night of sleep laying sideways on the hotel bed so Solomon could sleep next to the headboard and not fall off. HA! Traveling is definitely different these days, but it does have the hilarious moments mixed with the frustrating ones. Parenthood, am I right?

On Wednesday when we got to Augusta we walked down the Riverwalk by our hotel to get some wiggles out, and I loved taking these adorable pictures of my big boy!

& even after a two hour car ride nap, he needed over an hour more after running around outside!
I am happy to say that day two was much better!! I guess we won't be taking long car ride trips for just a day or two anymore... full weeks only, please!

fall for greenville.

I was so happy that we got to spend some time downtown on Saturday and enjoy Fall for Greenville! It's always busy but I feel like we found the sweet spot from 3-6ish in the afternoon. Once the sun started to go down it became so packed and the lines for food were crazy. I was so thankful for the luck we had with the crowd. Solomon loved watching all the fun surrounding him in his stroller but loved running around the park even more, the perfect way to burn some energy, so he would finally take a late nap at five. It was a great little family date, turned into hubby & wife date, once he knocked out in the stroller. I love those dates the most!

Probably the best part of the day, the Tupelo Honey tent had an amazing biscuit with pulled pork and pimento cheese. Three of the most southern yummyness!

We ended the night with a beer and some great live music, thanks to Adia Victoria. Oddly enough, the streets were packed with people waiting for food, but the stages weren't very crowded. I usually get more excited for the live music anyways, so I was a happy lady. Perfect weather, yummy eats and some good sounds with my guys.... a perfect family date for sure!
