These ladies, they are so special to me. My mom has been friends with Peggy and Laura for a very long time and I am so thankful that they are my friends as well. We've always had fun celebrating Christmas together with some drinks, apps and soups but now we get to include the grandbabies. I love it, it's always so much fun!

These three cuties, they definitely make our yearly tradition a little crazier, but it's a whole lot sweeter too! We did our normal gifts between each other, but we also had gifts for the kids to open, and we let them give them to each other. Hearing them say Merry Christmas and watching their excitement was so adorable. I love this time of year even more now that we have Solomon, it's so special!

self timer catching hilarious moments and our laughs.... love it!

a new baby boy.

Nope, not me, or at least we don't know yet!! But, my friend Jennifer, is having a baby boy and we could not be more excited for her. Of course the way my mom and I show love for anyone is by throwing them a party, so that's what we did. We and a few of Jen's friends gave her and baby Warner some extra love over the weekend and I wanted to share a little bit of it here. I am so sad that I didn't have my camera though. Peter took Solomon to the Children's Museum for some playtime that morning and I didn't even realize my camera was in the car until after he left. I was so bummed. I had to let my phone do the work, and obviously, it isn't as great. I really wish I could have captured all the details and had some sweet candid shots from the morning, but this is better than nothing. And Jen had a wonderful time, so that is really all that matters.

My mom and I made baby Warner a few onesies with funny iron sayings and one of them said, whine whine whine, then we made this one for Jen to go along with it. We loved it, and we were so happy that she did, too! You also would never know that Jen had just gotten over strep throat and had no voice during this shower by looking at these pictures. She definitely has that momma glow

a lot of pink and flowers.

Katie and I were so excited to love on our friend Jill and spoil her a little bit on Saturday. We are also very excited to meet her baby girl, very soon! I can't believe Jill's due date is almost here. We have been taking about March for a long time, and here it is... I'm so excited to see my sweet friend become a mother of two. I know she is going to rock it and continue to look like a superstar momma!!

the momma asked for quiche, so I made quiche!!
So many asked for my recipe, so I think I'm going to share it here soon!

thanks to my mom for making these cute little ritz peanutbutter bites & for driving all over Greenville for last minute things!!

I found this sweet little book at TJ Maxx and I thought it would be nice to have all the guests write a little note to baby girl. I pray that she knows the Lord one day and learns how love others with his undying love.

So many sweet girly things!!! Bows, tiny little hats and hand made goodies!

Solomon was excited that big brother showed up to play with him for a bit!
Also a big thanks to my SIL who watched Solomon during the shower since Daddy was out of town... it was so helpful!!

We love you, Jill!! And we love your baby girl (& sweet John Fredrick) so much already!
Come on baby girl, we are ready to meet you!!!

One thing that I love most about Valentine's Day is how it's not just for your romantic love. It is for family, friends, and just the world in general. Spreading love is always a good thing in my book. One of the friendships that I'm so thankful for is my friend Jill. I've talked about our fun "stay at home momma adventuress" before and I know that God placed her in my life for a reason. I have so many wonderful women in my life but she is the one and only friend that I have become close to because of this crazy thing called motherhood. We met  because of our boys. That will always be special to me!

When we realized that we were both going to be husbandless for Valentine's Day, we jumped on the opportunity to take our boys out on a date!! When we were thinking about a spot to meet up for dinner, Jill mentioned we should make this a true Valentine's Day, and meet up at the spot of our first date, Fresh to Order! We had our first lunch date so many months ago while we watched our quiet sleeping babies in their car seats, and fumbled around trying to nurse in public. HA, how things have changed!

It's always fun to have a date with our boys, and I'm so thankful for so many friends with baby boys!
I definitely love being a boy momma!!!

party time.

My mom and I had so much fun hosting our annual ornament exchange party, over the weekend! It is always the best party of the year, and we love doing it. I honestly can't believe we have been having this party for NINE years now. Crazy! Of course we have so many ideas for next year, since it will be the 10th annual party. We have so much fun entertaining together and we really love having a room full of our favorite women. Seeing the combination of my friends and my mom's friends is always fun, and I can honestly say that most of the friendships go both ways. I love all the women that my mom love, and she loves my friends like she loves me. These women are truly a gift, that's for sure!
(ps, notice all the ornaments on our tree at the TOP of the tree... ha! Thanks to Solomon, of course.)

So thankful for a Mom who is also my best friend!
& really thankful for those sweet ladies that helped clean up while I put Solomon to sleep after the party. The sweetest clean up crew around!
