waiting for spring.

February 7, 2018

We are definitely excited for the Spring weather to come so we can have more park dates, & we were really excited to have a little glimpse of that yesterday! The sun was warm, and with a couple of layers, we didn't even notice the chill in the breeze. Solomon and John Frederick were so excited to play together and their momma's were equally excited to catch up and talk. Jill was sweet enough to pick up some lunch from Chicken Salad Chick for us, and we had a great time watching the boys run around like monkeys.

the little babies getting some fresh air too! It was so nice to get some sunshine and spend some time outside.

Now, today will be spent jumping in puddles with Solomon, which honestly might make him happier than sunshine at the park. HA!!

traditions.

These ladies, they are so special to me. My mom has been friends with Peggy and Laura for a very long time and I am so thankful that they are my friends as well. We've always had fun celebrating Christmas together with some drinks, apps and soups but now we get to include the grandbabies. I love it, it's always so much fun!

These three cuties, they definitely make our yearly tradition a little crazier, but it's a whole lot sweeter too! We did our normal gifts between each other, but we also had gifts for the kids to open, and we let them give them to each other. Hearing them say Merry Christmas and watching their excitement was so adorable. I love this time of year even more now that we have Solomon, it's so special!

self timer catching hilarious moments and our laughs.... love it!

sweet little elves!
Merry Christmas, friends!!!

friday mornings.

July 31, 2017

The past several months have been spent doing the same thing, almost every Friday, and we love it! Unless Solomon is sick, or I'm sick, or it's raining, we are at Swamp Rabbit for some playtime with friends. I have my friends, and they have their babies, who are conveniently Solomon's friends! ;)
A total win/win.

Solomon gets so excited each week when I tell him where we are going. He exclaims "mooooothi!" because he knows we get to split a yummy treat. A big smoothie full of local fruits & dairy, paired with a perfect cheddar and kale scone. The perfectly crunchy and fluffy scone  is the most exciting part to me, honestly. Don't get me wrong, I love my friends, but that scone is amazing! Sadly though, they are taking a break from the kale scone since kale isn't in season now. Just another reason to look forward to September! Mmmm, my mouth is watering right now just thinking about it. Until then, we will enjoy some cheese puffs, which are also very tasty.

Friday mornings are the best! It's a dirty mess and all the toys are hand me downs that have been loved by many kids. But I think that's what I love most about Solomon playing there. It doesn't need to be fancy, just a fun morning with his friends. Definitely check out Swamp Rabbit if you are in Greenville, it's worth the trip!

Two Already.

Sweet, little man, Wyatt had his second birthday party over the weekend! It's so crazy to watch all our boys run around and play together, so grown up and big. Wyatt was the first of the crew so he's always going to lead the way but I'm thankful to have such a precious boy to do it. His momma and daddy have done such a good job, and I'm looking forward to spending more time with him now that Katie is working from home. More play time with the boys is always a good thing! Happy Birthday, Wyatt!!!

This boy loves singing happy birthday!!!

Solomon is also obsessed with baby Ivy.
While editing these pictures he would scream Iiiiiivy until I showed him this picture above.

a lot of pink and flowers.

Katie and I were so excited to love on our friend Jill and spoil her a little bit on Saturday. We are also very excited to meet her baby girl, very soon! I can't believe Jill's due date is almost here. We have been taking about March for a long time, and here it is... I'm so excited to see my sweet friend become a mother of two. I know she is going to rock it and continue to look like a superstar momma!!

the momma asked for quiche, so I made quiche!!
So many asked for my recipe, so I think I'm going to share it here soon!

thanks to my mom for making these cute little ritz peanutbutter bites & for driving all over Greenville for last minute things!!

I found this sweet little book at TJ Maxx and I thought it would be nice to have all the guests write a little note to baby girl. I pray that she knows the Lord one day and learns how love others with his undying love.

So many sweet girly things!!! Bows, tiny little hats and hand made goodies!

Solomon was excited that big brother showed up to play with him for a bit!
Also a big thanks to my SIL who watched Solomon during the shower since Daddy was out of town... it was so helpful!!

We love you, Jill!! And we love your baby girl (& sweet John Fredrick) so much already!
Come on baby girl, we are ready to meet you!!!
