weekly three.

February 9, 2018

Another week has flown by, and this one was full of things to do, so it really flew by. Things are definitely feeling more normal around here with two babies to love on. I was thinking yesterday about how I didn't feel "back to myself" after having Solomon until around seven months. But this time has been so much faster, I think maybe because I'm already a mother? I'm not really sure, but I do enjoy feeling at ease and enjoying both of my sweet boys. I'm really tired and working my way through motherhood, but it feels good, and I'm thankful!

it was so wonderful to enjoy some front porch time with both of the boys this week! It really made me excited for Spring.

this cute little guy may not like evenings and cry a LOT, but his happy mornings make up for it!

lemon cake and a great bible study, two of my favorites things in life!

We are definitely excited for the Spring weather to come so we can have more park dates, & we were really excited to have a little glimpse of that yesterday! The sun was warm, and with a couple of layers, we didn't even notice the chill in the breeze. Solomon and John Frederick were so excited to play together and their momma's were equally excited to catch up and talk. Jill was sweet enough to pick up some lunch from Chicken Salad Chick for us, and we had a great time watching the boys run around like monkeys.

the little babies getting some fresh air too! It was so nice to get some sunshine and spend some time outside.

Now, today will be spent jumping in puddles with Solomon, which honestly might make him happier than sunshine at the park. HA!!

I'm so excited to share some of my favorite photos from the newborn shoot with Molly Neely!! There were so many great images that she captured that will always have a special place in my heart. Our family growing to four has been such a whirlwind of emotions for me. Watching Solomon become a big brother, sharing my heart with two little boys and one sweet husband, and also watching Peter father a newborn in a whole new way the second time around. There's so much that's different in a way that I didn't expect, or can even explain, but it just feels right. Everything is settling into place and we are finding our way around as a family of four. I just keep reminding myself that Asher isn't crawling or walking yet, that will change everything, that's for sure!!

There are so many times during the day with my two boys that I feel like my heart will actually explode from happiness, it almost hurts and I could cry. I never thought I could love two little humans so much. Motherhood definitely has it's ups and downs, but the ups are so high that I always forget the lows. It's wonderful, and I love it so much!!

Our little guy, who is already so much bigger that I can hardly believe my eyes. Not so little anymore, I'm just praying time will slow down a little bit.

February 2, 2018

It has been a busy week thanks to actually getting out of the house several times! Praise Jesus!!! I could hardly stand staying cooped up in our house much longer. I was so happy to have some fun things to do this week, and I even ventured out to the grocery store with both boys solo, for the first time. Thankfully, Asher still sleeps a LOT, so he snoozed the whole time. Solomon always loves to go grocery shopping, so it was a fun time for us all. As for this weekend, I'm ready to celebrate my birthday tomorrow (and my nephew's 4th Birthday!), and then  enjoy the Super Bowl! Hope you have a fun one!!! Happy February!

Asher started his first Wonder Weeks Leap this week so there has been a lot of cuddling!!!

Cutest captain America around, he was so excited to spend the day with his cousins and get out of the house on Tuesday.

New friends and new babies, so fun to eat some yummy brunch and hang out with some girlfriends yesterday morning!

Goals // 2.18

February 1, 2018

One month down already. So crazy, I honestly feel like it's going to be December before we know it. How does time fly by so quickly?!? How do I have a one month old baby already? It's just insane, but time isn't going to slow down, so I might as well look ahead to the month ahead. February is a good one for me since I get to celebrate my birthday and Valentine's Day! Lot's of love, and a lot of happiness!!

one of my favorite candid shots of my three guys this past month!

January Goals
1 // find my routine at home with two baby boys - slowly but surely, it is falling into place. I'm excited to see that Asher is starting to have some type of routine with his awake and sleeping hours during the day. I'm sure that will continue to change in February and that will help with our routine for sure.
2 // start some fun "school time" with Solomon - we have been working a little each day with "school time" and he loves it. I try and do this during my quiet time in the play room (#playroomquiettime on Instagram!) but sometimes we enjoy the school time together. We've also been trying to have some floor playtime that includes some learning also. I definitely want to make it fun for him so he enjoys it.
3 // finish our 2018 photo calendar - I actually decided to not do this after all. The more I started to work on it the more I realized we didn't really need it.
4 // deep clean the house and get back on our cleaning schedule - again, slowly but surely, this is happening. I've found that the last few hours in our day at home, before daddy gets home, is the best time to do a lot of the cleaning. Asher is awake and happy and Solomon can have some TV time while I get things straightened up around the house. It's also nice that Peter gets to come home to a house that is somewhat put together and a happy wife as well. I'm still working on our cleaning schedule and how I will need to tweak it with two boys at home.

February Goals
1 // celebrate my birthday with my family
2 // share a day in our life post
3 // cook dinner with Peter for Valentine's Day at home
4 // purge my closet and donate clothes
5 // print some new photos for the house
