Corner Inspiration.

July 23, 2014

After a hours of searching Pinterest and coming up with some ideas I finally know what I want my quiet time corner to look like. I even have some plans that I thought of on my own and didn't see on the big world of Pinterest, so that's fun! Over this weekend I am going to work my little booty off to get some things finished around the house and I can't wait to share them all with you next week. Thankfully, I'm just in time to complete those goals I made for the month of July!

Here are some of the images that sparked my imagination for that space that I love so much....

Master Bedroom Re-Do // Part One

November 13, 2013

We got super lucky with all of the rooms upstairs in our home since we didn't have any serious painting to do. Just the master bathroom and all the trim/doors which is a lot better than the work on the main floor. For the master bedroom I was so excited about the creamy blue color on the walls. It was honestly the perfect color for all the bedding we registered for and the furniture that was graciously given to us by family members. Here are some ideas that I had for our future master bedroom...

all photos were pulled from Pinterst

After we moved the furniture around and figured out the perfect set up I was so excited to start working in the room. It feels like so long ago now since we have been living in the house for almost two months. I'm so excited to share all of the DIY fun that I have done in this space so far.

Living Room Re-Do // Part One

August 22, 2013

It's that time agian... On to a new room. All the rooms in the house are starting to feel more finished everyday and it really is exciting. The living room is probably the room I want to finish the most since it will be the most used room on a daily basis. I wanted it to feel cozy and comfy. This room is also the darkest room in the house so I wanted the colors to be bright and happy. Here are some of my ideas from that wonderful world called the Internet.

^^^ its honestly creepy how similar our chairs are!!!

To make a happy & calm room, that is the main goal. So far so good but you know the drill, more on the rest later!!

Dining Room re-do // Part One

July 25, 2013

After all the kitchen updates I thought I would finally give another room in the house some love, the Dining Room! This sweet little room has come a long way already and I’m excited about the little pieces coming together in the near future. This room was used as a play room in its previous life so there are definitely some fun changes to be made.

From the beginning I knew I wanted the wall color to be bright and happy. I’m a fan of light colored dining rooms that don’t feel too serious or dark but still have some personality with a vivid color. Over the last several months I’ve found the perfect feel for the future dining room.

I can’t help but picture a big Easter Sunday lunch in this room with Peter and our family. More updates to come with our actual room and all the fun details about the transition from play room to dining room!

Kitchen Re-do // part one

June 6, 2013

Right now we are smack dab in the middle of our kitchen renovation. We aren’t going all out and changing everything but I feel like the things we are changing will make a BIG difference. I'm very thankful for my super talented uncle who is completing the handy work and I can’t wait to see the final product!! Here are a few of my inspiration photos that I shared with him…

I can't find the website for this picture anywhere... but I love it.

Obviously I’m a fan of the Gray, White and Earthy style. I’m also a huge fan of subway tile with the white and gray granite but that will happen a little bit later. For right now I am super excited to have all the color updates completed.

The kitchen has always been my favorite part of a house. It’s where things are done. Where food is made and as cheesy as it sounds, memories are made there too. I’m so looking forward to all the hustle and bustle that our kitchen will see from parties, holidays and also the average daily interactions between a husband and a wife. I’m pretty excited about all of it.

I will be sharing the progress with our kitchen next week once I have some before and after pictures so stay tuned!!
