For as long as I can remember I've always loved Christmas. Everyone does, right? But for most of my adult life I haven’t been the kind of person to get super excited about decorating, listening to Christmas music before the actual week of Christmas or all the hustle and bustle that comes with this season. However, marriage must have done something to me…?
I had to seriously fight the urge to start decorating which made my rule of NO Christmas until AFTER Thanksgiving really hard to follow. Thanksgiving is important too so I had to respect that turkey’s time. Buuuuuut…. it definitely didn’t stop me from buying beautiful garland, ornaments and the cutest tree topper I’ve ever seen. More on that later because today is all about the mantle.
^^^ I definitely want to add a little more with some more greenery mixed in with some candles.
^^^ old window was a gift from my sweet friend Jocie and the wreath, pinecones, ribbon and red berries were purchased at Michaels and I put them together with some hot glue gun magic.*
^^^ the trees and their tins were purchased from ikea and the bird was a super clearance find after the Holidays last year at JCPenney.*
I’m really not sure what has brought on this change of heart for the Christmas season but I think I’m finally going to embrace it! So happy to be joining some beautiful ladies for the Holiday Cheer link up this year.
