weekly three.

November 9, 2018

This week has been one of those crazy ones full of plans and trying to keep my head above water. Somehow it's Friday, and somehow I haven't had a chance to work on this space at all this week. It makes me sad when that happens, but at least I can keep three little things that did make me smile. I'm so happy to see the weekend and we have a lot of fun plans as a family over the next couple of days. Hope you have a fun weekend, too!

Pulling out the Christmas crafts during Asher's naptime this week!!

Sharing a very special beer with this guy made me so happy this week. It also made me think about all the fun we have had, and all the fun we will have together. So blessed!!

& at my hair appointment this morning, this adorable couple was leaving & I text Peter a picture of them, saying this would be us in 50 years when I still need my hair done.

weekly three.

November 2, 2018

It's that time of year where you start the week with Halloween and then you end it with Christmas, somehow! I always used to push off Christmas till after Thanksgiving, but each year I become a little more welcoming. I don't know if it is my age, or having sweet little babies to celebrate with, or the fact that we are going to be out of town for Thanksgiving this year. I just feel Christmas is right around the corner and I'm dying to decorate already! WHO AM I!?!? I can't believe I just typed that. Happy Friday, friends!!

Swinging with big brother like a big boy!

Sweet moments in the morning with Halloween jammies!

Target Dollar Bin this time of year makes me all kinds of happy!!!

Charleston weekend.

October 31, 2018

With all of Peter's work trips during the last month, we finally got to tag along for a little weekend in Charleston! Surprisingly, it was our first trip to Charleston for this whole year, but I'm glad we finally got to go!! It was honestly a tease to spend just a couple of days with Peter, and it only made me miss him more. Solomon was on CLOUD NINE while he was around for dinner, and only wanted his daddy for everything. It's pretty clear we all miss him. But, while Peter was working during the day, my mom and I got to have some fun with the boys. It was so nice to get away, and I was so happy that Peter could take the day off on Sunday for some family time with us, before our ride home that afternoon.

It was also Asher's first trip to Charleston if you don't count the trip last year while he was in my belly! It's so fun to see him take in new places and surroundings.

Just a swinging with my guys!! And Solomon with his "Charleston pose" haha!

Of course the trip wouldn't have been nearly as fun without my mom!! I honestly think I would have chickened out on the long ride with two boys on my own with out her. And I know I would have definitely lost my mind without her help over the past several weeks while Peter has been traveling. She sure is wonderful, and I'm so thankful for all she does to help our family!!

hurry home daddy, we miss you!!!!

Asher // ten months.

October 29, 2018

Sweet boy,

Another month has flown by and you are getting SO BIG! I mean, you've been "big" for a while now, but you are growing up now. Becoming more of a toddler instead of a baby. Your personality is shining through like crazy. You are so silly, and funny. I heard somewhere recently that second babies are full of fire but still tender, and that is the perfect description for you. Fire fits you perfectly with your crazy short temper, but then you are so tender and sweet at the same time.

I can't believe we are so close to you being a year old & I'm starting to put together all the details for your first birthday party. I'm excited to celebrate all the fun holidays, and then end the year with your birthday! Christmas will always be even sweeter now, because I will think of you. All the Christmas lights and songs will constantly make me think of my big round belly, and remember how you were growing and getting ready to join our family. It will always be more special now, and I love that!

But here we are now, at 10 months old. I can't believe it... it has flown by so quickly & I'm doing my best to soak it all in. We love you so much!!!

& it wouldn't be a monthly Asher post if I didn't share a sweet photo of him obsessing over his big brother! Man, he sure does love him and I love watching it!!

stats //  26.9 lbs
(actually lost weight and I asked the dr if I should be worried. He laughed at me.)

eating // he is LOVING food, and loves to eat with us. His favorites are avocado, eggs, blueberries and he loves to munch on larabars now when we are out and about for snacks.

sleeping // most nights, he wakes up between 2-3 and I normally take him to our bed to feed him and then cuddle the rest of the night till morning. I try and sit and rock him while feeding him so I can lay him back down in his crib, but I'm usually too tired and out of it. Especially with Peter being out of town a LOT during the last month. It's  been survival mode at night most of the time, which has been fine.

wearing // mainly in 24 month and 2T clothing for the fall and winter layers now. Around the house when we don't have to layer, he is wearing 18 months.

firsts // pulling up on everything on his knees & some lower things to his feet, trips to apple picking & the pumpkin patch, aaaaand his first trip to Charleston!!! Also cutting his 7th tooth right now, the bottom right latteral incisor.

favorite things // playing with his toys on the floor, crawling around and exploring, bath time, face timing with daddy, and waking up so happy. I seriously love how happy he always is when he wakes up, even if I have to wake him up.

October 23, 2018

Last year, my mom and her girl friends, took all their grand babies to the pumpkin patch. I was secretly jealous, but I wasn't invited to grandma day. This year though, I was determined to tag along and bring Asher. My two pumpkins and all the gorgeous pumpkins at Stewart Farms, and my sweet mom, and our awesome friends with their sweet babies, too. It was just a great time! Another yearly tradition that I don't ever want to die.

Auntie Lola bought cute little costume pieces for all the kidos, and Solomon is beyond obsessed with his knight helmet. Like, wanting to sleep wearing it every night, obsessed.

My sweet boy and our pumpkin, we are going to carve this one!!
& baby boy loving him some Gigi!

Asher got kicked out of his stroller thanks to my pumpkin obsession!

my sweet boys!!!

Heading out of the pumpkin patch so we can get in line for the hayride!

Such a fun night, and of course I can't help but think about how much bigger these sweet boys will be next  year! Life just flies by way too quick, but I'm so thankful that I have this space to keep all these special memories!
