1 week old.

October 6, 2015

I'm so thankful to have a sweet, sweet friend that is all artsy and talented with a camera!
Auntie Jocie came over on Solomon's 1 week birthday to take some family photos and I'm in love with all of them. Of course that means I will be sharing WAY too many of them, but ya know... that's what you do when you have a baby and you fall madly in love with him.

My favorite men that make my heart so, so full!!!
I can't take it sometimes, this life... it is so sweet and God is so good!

100 Days of Happy, again // pt.1

October 5, 2015

Since this year has been the happiest of my life, I thought it would be a great idea to share another round of 100 Days of Happy, because it was so fun last time. I love looking back at my 100 days from 2014 and I know I will enjoy looking back at these days from 2015. I decided to start the happies on September 23rd so that way day 100 will be the last and final day of this year.

I will be posting these every day on Instagram, just like last time, and then sharing them in sets of ten, here on the blog. I think it would be fun to make this a yearly tradition, you should join me in the fun!!

So, here we go with my first 10 days!

1// kissing chubby baby hands while nursing
2// rainy fall weather with delicious lentil & sausage soup at my mom's
3// a pretty robe makes this postpartum thing a lot more fun
4// my pretty Jocie Pot candle holder, my favorite pumpkin for Boston, the only plant I can keep alive and the reminder of 2013; the year I became a MRS
5// healthy and yummy salad with pomegranate seeds at my mom-in-law's house
6// cuddles with my sick boy, and comforting him by holding his little hand
7// hospital coffee that honestly didn't taste that terrible
8// gorgeous flowers for our 2nd anniversary/being stuck in the hospital, from a sweet friend
9// first day at home by myself and surviving, even doing some laundry
10// morning routines taking form.... cereal, coffee, blogging and a napping baby in his crib

the nursery.

That time again..... I can't believe the month i was waiting for has already passed us by!
I am so excited for the month of October though!!!

September Update
1// Welcome our sweet baby boy!!!!!!!! - YUP! We definitely welcomed him and you can read the full story HERE & HERE
2// Rest and enjoy him as much as possible. - I'm trying my best to nap when he naps but nights can still be a little tough.... but, we are learning and getting through it together. So thankful for a helpful husband that takes shifts with me at night!
3// Celebrate our Two Year Anniversary! - I can't believe we are already on year three! We may not have had a super fun trip like last year but we did get a baby boy, so that is pretty awesome! We did end up spending our anniversary in the hospital but at least we were all together and Solomon is back to normal now. Happy and healthy!
We are planning a date night later this week to celebrate two years!

October Goals
1// Start a morning quiet time routine while Solomon naps
2// Figure out a sleeping/feeding schedule that works well for our family
3// Make a new wreath for the front door for the Fall season
4// Workout at least 3 days a week

the first outing.

September 30, 2015

Even before Solomon was born I was planning on checking out the Farm Fresh Fair and supporting one of my best friends and her business, Jocie Pots! I wanted to get a couple of things from her and I thought it would be a fun little family outing for us. I was a little worried when Solomon decided to take his time and come a week late, but thankfully our weekend was going so well. I am super thankful that he is a pretty chill baby, besides the handful of crazy crying nights. But that is going to happen sometimes, right?? I would say that 80% of the time he is really calm and when he isn't, it is usually easy to calm him down. So we braved the hot weather and enjoyed the little afternoon trip to The Farm at Rabon Creek with some friends!

We are so proud of our sweet friend!!!

The first outing was a quick one but when it involves BBQ sandwiches and fresh squeezed lemonade and time with friends, short and sweet is okay! Plus, this sweet baby boy seemed to love it also!
