day trip to Charlotte.

February 11, 2016

My sweet friend, Jocie, asked me if baby S and I wanted to tag along with her for a trip to Charlotte and of course I said yes. She needed to drop off some of her pretty things for the Vintage Charlotte Valentines weekend special pop up shop at the 7th Street Public Market and I was excited to check it out since I've never been. I honestly haven't spent much time in downtown Charlotte and I have no idea why, it really is such a cute city. Especially the Public Market.

When we arrived I had to feed Solomon and change his diaper in the car while Jocie went to drop off her stuff. She said she'd scope out the place and see if we could get something to eat. I was so excited to get a text from her that said "There are crepes!"!!! They were so yummy and the delicious pour over coffee from Not Just Coffee was the perfect addition. The natural lighting in this place is so pretty, such a fun place to hang out and buy some local goodies.

There were so many cute things along with the beautiful Jocie Pots creations! I loved looking around the booth and checking out the Vday gifts but all the beautiful cards had be swooning.
#paperproductsaddict, sorry I'm not sorry!

come on, ma... too much girl talk and valentines day pink stuff! ;)
Seriously though, if you are in Charlotte and need some last minute gifts, stop by the market and pick up something cute. The xoxo ring dish by Jocie is a new favorite of mine!!!

the first outing.

Even before Solomon was born I was planning on checking out the Farm Fresh Fair and supporting one of my best friends and her business, Jocie Pots! I wanted to get a couple of things from her and I thought it would be a fun little family outing for us. I was a little worried when Solomon decided to take his time and come a week late, but thankfully our weekend was going so well. I am super thankful that he is a pretty chill baby, besides the handful of crazy crying nights. But that is going to happen sometimes, right?? I would say that 80% of the time he is really calm and when he isn't, it is usually easy to calm him down. So we braved the hot weather and enjoyed the little afternoon trip to The Farm at Rabon Creek with some friends!

We are so proud of our sweet friend!!!

The first outing was a quick one but when it involves BBQ sandwiches and fresh squeezed lemonade and time with friends, short and sweet is okay! Plus, this sweet baby boy seemed to love it also!

Jocie Pots // a giveaway {CLOSED}

March 24, 2015

Today is a special day, today is my best friend's birthday! To celebrate her birthday I wanted to showcase her wonderful talent with pottery and do a fun giveaway. Jocie will be giving away a set of 4 small lace plates in either cream or pink, you pick!! I love these plates for special desserts or even to layer with regular plates for a salad. They are delicate, beautiful and the perfect touch to any table.

Over the weekend I spent some time at Jocie's "palace" and snapped some pictures of her in action. You see, The Palace is a very special place for her and you can read more about it on her website. You can also take a look at her etsy shop for the latest creations that she has made.
