I haven't been able to find the perfect fall floppy hat yet, but this hat is also one of my favorites! It's an old reliable of mine that I tend to forget about. I prefer to wear a hat to protect my hair from rainy days instead of a rain jacket sometimes, so I try and remember to pull this one out when we are having nasty weather. The weather has been cool and drizzly this week so I've been thankful for the garage at home and the garage at work. I'm glad that I don't have to venture out into the mist or rain drops every day but this little hat is nice to keep my hair in place and my ears warm.

I instantly knew that I wanted to take this jacket to Boston when I started packing! I had high hopes for this pretty piece of leather awesomeness but, sadly it was uncommonly warm during our time in the beautiful city of Boston. I seriously carried this jacket around most of the time. Itching to put it on but regretting it the instant I tried. Gladly, the weather finally started to agree with me on our last night and I got to wear my new leather jacket ALL NIGHT LONG. It was fabulous. this necklace.

 I remember gasping when I saw this necklace for the first time! We were on vacation in Charleston and shopping in Target for some things that we needed for the house. While we were waiting in line to pay, this little gem caught my eye. Peter doesn't normally support my jewelry purchases since he says "I have enough..." and even though he may be right, I plead my case. Thanks to the help from my sis-in-law (thanks, Joy!) I won and I brought this pretty little baby home! 

I really love the simple elegance that a statement necklace can bring to a casual outfit. Especially chambray! This outfit will definitely be on my rotation during the fall weeks ahead.

Summer Beach Wear // with Raise.com

Perfect timing, right?  Whenever I'm on a beach vacation I love to pack outfits that I can wear multiple times for different occasions. The beach cover-up/date night item is always a nice option to pack in your bag. So, here is my day to night look with one of my favorite shirts!

For a summer night at the beach I love to wear something comfortable and this outfit is great for comfort! The shirt is breezy with a tank top underneath and I love the relaxed, black washed jeans with my favorite wedges.
